Geared toward parents who plan to bottle feed

A 1.5-hour class to help new families become familiar with the basics of infant care and bottle feeding in the early days and weeks after birth. Partners encouraged to attend!

Topics covered will include:

• Understanding normal infant behavior, communication, appearance and sleep patterns

• Common newborn procedures in the hospital

• Basics of diapering, cord care, bathing, and assessment of your baby

• Newborn warning signs and when to call the pediatrician

• Bottle feeding best practices, tips and techniques, burping, bottle cleaning, etc.

• Feeding options and how to know if the baby is getting enough

• Postpartum adjustment for the whole family

Note: This class will NOT cover breastfeeding.

Cost: $99 per couple or single + support person.
